ABOUT ME:
My name is Danielle Marie Philbrook and I’m a true rooted New England girl who has found my home in Portland, Maine. I fell in love with photography when I had a little 110 camera with the flashcubes that burnt out after each flash. It was amazing to me hear and see that flash then know an image would appear. My passion grew as I entered high school and experimented with an old Pentax and the darkroom. During college I upgraded my equipment and spend hours upon hours developing photographs. As I saw those images appear I knew there was something magical about capturing a moment on film.I’ve progressed with the times to digital photography, which allows for instant gratification of images and easy manipulation via the computer. It has provided me with a quick result in a very high-end format that is easy shared with my clients.
As I venture forward in my passion for photography, my goal is to be able to help my clients tell their stories. I enjoy capturing the unseen moments that you’ll remember for a lifetime. My style is a direct result of the surroundings in which I am in and the energy of my clients. Clients have told me that my perspective through the camera lens is something truly unique and gives a new light to my subjects while bringing out your everyday joys.
I believe that shooting on location gives the best outcome for a natural and comfortable photo-shoot. Whether it is your home, a favorite park, the backdrop of our gorgeous coastline, or a place that you hold dear in your heart, my goal is to make sure you have the best backdrop to capture your story.
